roof paint and coating

Roof paint can revive the look of any building and extend the life of the roof by an extra 15 years. The factory-applied coating on new roof tiles eventually wears off. To protect the roof, here are a few tips to look for:

  • Roof painting must be done correctly
  • Look for high-quality products
  • Find paint with high UV stability
  • Choose high-end colour pigments
  • Select roof paint with sun and weather exposure
  • Clean and ensure the roof is completely dry before painting, otherwise the paint will peel
  • Use biocide to kill off any algae or moss spores
  • Follow application guidelines
  • Use two coats of good quality paints
