CT INDUSTRIES recently completed the successful installation of Saint-Gobain Weber’s decorative self-levelling screed at the Superdry clothing store in upmarket Sandton City. The company worked closely with Black Boy Shopfitters to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing for their client.

It’s all the preparation
CT INDUSTRIES’s Michael Pretorius explains that a substantial amount of grinding work and substrate preparation has to be completed in order to prepare a surface before installing the new 10 mm thick terrazzo look cement-based flooring product. In order to achieve this and the final finishing of the floor, CT INDUSTRIES made use of the Diamatic range of BMG-435-WD Planetary Floor Grinders, BGS-250 Edge Grinders and BDC-1330 Dust Collectors.
“This specific type of floor is very hard, and to get to the type of finish we wanted, we started working with Diamond Products’ experts to find a suitable solution. We went through numerous combinations before finding the one that worked best, and Diamond Products displayed unwavering commitment to researching and developing a solution to our exact needs,” Pretorius said.
Beneficial partnerships
As part of their ongoing relationship-building with suppliers and to market their services as a Specialist Approved Applicator for BASF, the company attended the Food & Drink Technology Africa last September which took place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
BASF’s Ucrete range of protective floor finishes as well as the new BASF DTZ Terrazzo range was showcased. ACO drainage systems were also represented. Great interest was shown in the partnership between CT INDUSTRIES and BASF, as these types of partnerships are greatly beneficial to clients.
