Since 1971, we at Kaytech have been supplying geotextiles to the civil engineering industry in Southern Africa. Our production facility in Atlantis is SABS ISO 9001 certified. Using high volumes of polyester flake both virgin and from recycled plastic bottles, our core product, bidim, rolls out 24 hours a day to match demand. This nonwoven needle-punched continuous filament geotextile can be found in subsoil drainage and as liner protection in mining’s ash disposal facilities. We also produce geocomposites such as our Rockgrid PC which has been used in subgrade stabilisation and basal reinforcement for loading platforms and roads. Manufacturing geobags is a specialty we’re proud of as they’re installed to form part of the natural environment for erosion control particularly in coastal and marine applications. All products produced in this facility undergo stringent quality testing to measure up to the requirements of the civil engineering industry. When it comes to waste containment, our Geosynthetic Clay Liner doesn’t compromise as we source the highest quality natural sodium bentonite for our EnviroFix GCL product. Tons of geotextiles exit the facility all year around to ensure that we carry a supply of stock so that when it’s required by our customers it’s ready to be delivered to any of our branches nationwide. From this busy hub, geosynthetic solutions are also supplied for road reinforcement and road surface rehabilitation and even as drainage under our sports fields.
