The new generation of freeswing door closers from Geze now also provides for automatic closing in the event of a fire.Manufacturer of sophisticated high-tech hardware for doors and windows, Geze, introduced its new generation freeswing door closers at Bau 2013 – held in Munich, Germany, in January.

The well-known Geze TS 5000 range of freeswing door closers and the Geze Boxer EFS integrated freeswing door closers have been upgraded to incorporate advances in design and technology so that they are now also suitable for use on barrier-free fire protection doors.

Kansai Plascon has introduced a new heat-reflective paint in Nuroof Cool, formulated to reduce heat absorption through the roof and moderate internal temperatures in buildings.Leading South African coatings manufacturer Kansai Plascon has introduced a new paint technology with the launch of Nuroof Cool, with the Herotech Enviroshield™ formulation. This breakthrough paint technology provides a coating that reflects at least 30% of the infrared light off roof surfaces, reducing the interior temperature of homes or other buildings by up to 8°C and potentially allowing for lower energy consumption within the building.
