Introducing StoneFlex - natural stone veneer sheets

StoneFlex, an innovative material made by a unique process using natural stone slabs.  It is a stone veneer sheet made of either real slate, marble, sandstone and quartzite. extracted using a patented process then infused with a fibreglass/fabric, giving StoneFlex unique and beneficial characteristics that the original stone never had.  By applying a strong adhesive on a fibreglass/fabric backing, allows a micro layer of stone to be peeled away onto the sheet making it extremely flexible and light.  Each sheet is distinct in texture and character which is inherent to the natural beauty of stone.

StoneFlex is a composite product that has been designed to meet the growing need for quality surface finishes. StoneFlex behaves like any normal slate and quartzite under the elements. As such it is typically used for feature walling and ceilings, furniture, interiors or exteriors, and can also be used in water features.

Available in various sizes including large formats, 100% natural stone surface with complete flexibility, StoneFlex is a mere 2 – 3 mm thick.

StoneFlex may be glued to surfaces using most standard laminate adhesives having a thick body or foaming quality.

One of the key advantages of thin natural stone veneer sheets is their versatility. They can be used to enhance both residential and commercial spaces, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.

Despite their thin profile, thin natural stone veneer sheets retain the beauty and characteristics of the original stone. They are made by slicing natural stone blocks into thin layers, preserving the unique colours, textures, and patterns that make each stone piece distinct. This allows for a vast selection of options, from classic marbles and granites to rustic slate and sandstone.

In addition to their visual appeal, thin natural stone veneer sheets are lightweight and easy to handle. Their reduced weight makes them more manageable during transportation, installation, and retrofit projects. They can be adhered to various surfaces using mortar, adhesive, or specialized stone veneer adhesive, allowing for greater design flexibility. These sheets can even be used on curved surfaces, enabling the creation of captivating architectural features.

Thin natural stone veneer sheets also offer cost-effective advantages. Compared to full-thickness stone materials, they require fewer raw materials, resulting in lower costs. Their lightweight nature reduces labour and transportation expenses, making them an economical choice for both residential and commercial projects.

Furthermore, thin natural stone veneer sheets are durable and long-lasting. They possess similar physical properties and resistance to weathering as their thicker counterparts. However, it is important to handle and install them with care to prevent breakage. Proper maintenance and periodic sealing can help maintain their beauty and extend their lifespan.

In conclusion, thin natural stone veneer sheets provide a versatile, visually appealing, and cost-effective solution for adding the elegance of natural stone to various architectural and design projects. Their lightweight nature, durability, and wide range of design options make them a sought-after choice for homeowners, architects, and designers seeking to create stunning and distinctive spaces.
