Up-cycle ceiling fan blades for Easter

We found this article online and we had to share it with you. We thought that it was such an ingenious way to recycle and recreate with old ceiling fan blades. They took old ceiling fan blades and turn them into the cutest floppy eared Easter bunny you’ve ever seen. After removing the shanks and bolts, the blades we cleaned off and painted a shade of dusty grey. You can use a sponge and sponge on the paint even to give it a more rustic look.

materials to make Easter bunny from ceiling fan blades

You can use one of the blades for the face, cheeks, and nose, cut a portion off for the face and cut out two hearts for the cheeks and nose. You can use a craft stick for the teeth and paint them white.

You can paint two beads for the eyes, and cut and paint the centre of two flowers for the eyelashes. Glue all the face parts together, and place it on the first two blades and screw it down.

Once the last two blades are screwed down, you can touch up the paint if you have to and added a light sponging of pink paint. Glue on the whiskers which you can make from white floral wire and painted on the black spots by the whiskers.

Make a hat from a place mat and attached it with glue. You can use a glue gun to attach the moss, raffia bow, carrots and flowers.

Do you like the way the bunny turned out?
