The E.C. Laridon heritage originated in saw mills of early Basotho land, known today as Lesotho under the company founder Emile Constance Laridon. The company established itself in South Africa in 1966. Since then the name E.C.Laridon has been associated with quality and craftsmanship that is unrivalled on the African continent. Frames are manufactured from epoxy coated steel. The steel sections are chosen to provide a robust frame for the size of bench specified. The frames can be finished in a range of colours. We recommend the textured (orange peel effect) finishes as they are tougher and more scratch resistant. All tables are fitted with height adjustable feet to aid levelling on uneven floors. Options such as low level shelves and cupboard/drawer units may be fitted to the table.
Above worktop shelving provides additional storage for reagents and other equipment. Power and data sockets can be mounted on the face of a vertical or horizontal services box. Water and gas services can be run within the services box with pendant type outlets below. Incorporating the service outlets within the reagent shelving allows an uninterrupted worktop area. This technical bulletin discusses the chemical resistance of DuPont™ Corian® solid surface. Chemical resistance is evaluated by placing a material on Corian® solid surface and covering it for 16 hours. Time of exposure is an important factor; prompt removal of chemicals will prevent most damage.
