EIFS BaseCoat
WHAT IS EIFS BASECOAT?
EIFS BaseCoat is a special mixture of various admixtures and Ordinary Portland Cement for repair of concrete and masonry, adhering and surfacing of EIFS insulation boards prior to applying Cemcrete’s decorative coatings.
Benefits
- Can be used as a base coat for levelling, patching and filling masonry, concrete and plaster before painting
- Can be used as an adhesive for pasting insulation board (polystyrene) or feature segments onto the interior or exterior of buildings
- Can be used as a leveller and filler for masonry, concrete or plaster surfaces (not to be used on floors)

Q: Can I use EIFS BaseCoat before applying CreteCote to level the floor surfaces?
A: No, EIFS BaseCoat is for application on vertical surfaces only.
Q: When should you use BaseCoat vs EIFS BaseCoat?
A: The biggest difference is that EIFS BaseCoat is flexible and BaseCoat is harder.
Use BaseCoat when hardness is required i.e. polystyrene furniture, polystyrene countertops and can be used to repair floors.
