Geberit drainage systems offer a variety of solutions for many applications. HDPE and Silent-db20 pipes and fittings provide a great alternative to more traditional material installations.
They combine flexibility, durability and reliability complemented by environmental properties that put other pipe systems to shame.
Geberit HDPE Drainage is the total solution for a wide range of drainage applications including above ground, below building and chemical waste. The system is manufactured from High Density Polyethylene, a material with inherent properties that provide significant advantages over more traditional piping systems. This has made HDPE the material of choice across Europe.
The properties of HDPE and Silent-db20 mean that pipes and fittings are resistant to abrasion, impact and extremes of temperature. Combine with the flexibility of several jointing methods and the option of off-site prefabrication, Geberit drainage systems offer substantial material and labour savings.
Silent-db20 is specifically designed to meet rising standards for acoustically sensitive drainage systems. Silent-db20 achieves its outstanding acoustic insulation properties using patented high density material (PE-S2). The fittings feature ribs to further improve performance by dampening sound at impact zones. Silent-db20 uses a number of jointing methods including butt welding, electrofusion and mechanical couplings. The complete range consists of pipe and fittings in dimensions from 56mm to 160mm. This guarantees complete acoustic insulation from the appliance connection through to the drainage system.
Geberit Pluvia is a roof drainage system based on an intelligent negative pressure suction system. The high-performance Geberit Pluvia roof outlets are linked together directly under the roof with a non-sloping collector pipe. Large roof areas can thus be drained through a single discharge stack. This simplifies planning and reduces construction time. Geberit Pluvia simplifies building planning and permits optimum space utilisation. A diminished need for discharge stacks reduces outlay for underground drain connections and surface lines as well as the costs for the property developer. A Geberit Pluvia installation is less expensive than a conventional roof drainage system.
Unlike conventional roof drainage methods, the Geberit Pluvia system functions as a syphonic system. The syphonic action ensures the drainage pipe system can fill up completely, thanks to the design of Geberit Pluvia roof outlets and the correct pipeline dimensioning, thus generating a negative pressure in the pipeline. The negative pressure in the pipe rapidly draws the rainwater by suction from the roof area, instead of merely allowing it to drain away. This also ensures an improved self-cleaning function

Mepla pipes are flexible, durable and simple to use – a smart solution that is both reliable and quick to install in applications with hot and cold water and heating and cooling systems. Mepla system combines multilayer pipe with PVDF and gun metal fittings. The pipe consists of 3 layers bonded into a single unit. The HDPE outer layer provides protection and UV resistance. The central edge is welded to an aluminium layer providing high stability and an effective oxygen barrier, whilst the inner PE layer provides extreme resistance to lime scale – significantly enhancing hygiene. Most Mepla pipe sizes can be bent, creating the opportunity to reduce fittings and hence lowers the overall installed cost. The system is suitable for an operating pressure of up to 10 bars and operating temperature of up to 70°C.

Environmental Benefits
HDPE is a material which has many environmental benefits when compared to other piping systems. It is a simple compound of carbon and hydrogen atoms – harmless to man, animals and plants. Geberit HDPE is also completely recyclable and with pre-fabrication, material wastage is kept to an absolute minimum.
