WOMAG's latest selection of natural stone ideal for countertops includes Black Galaxy Granite and Noble Grey Marble. The World of Marble and Granite – WOMAG – recently announced its seasonal selection of natural stone countertops in a range of finishes and colours to suit almost any space.

Natural stone countertops provide functional working surfaces for modern living in that they are durable, low-maintenance and introduce a distinctive character into any given space. WOMAG offers great inspiration in its comprehensive collection of natural stone countertops – from dramatic granite to classical marble in a myriad of shades and quartz-based surfaces in countless colourways. The company uses state-of-the-art machinery to craft the finest stone into customised countertops and tiles.

WOMAG’s 2012 seasonal selection includes a range of granite and marble countertops for the bathroom or kitchen.

Black Galaxy Extra, 30mm, is a black granite with dramatic gold spots in uniform formation. It is suitable for countertops in kitchens and bathrooms as well as for wall and floor cladding.

Silver Grey Granite, 20mm, is a hard-wearing textured granite with shades of blue-grey and white and the veined appearance of marble. Ideal for a contemporary interior, this stone works well in kitchens and bathrooms for cladding walls, countertops and floors.

Bianco Delicatus Granite, 30mm, features soft, delicate colours and includes shimmering mother of pearl and crystals, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

WOMAG's latest selection of natural stone ideal for countertops includes Black Galaxy Granite and Noble Grey Marble.

Noble Grey Marble, 17mm or 12mm, ranges through steel-blue to soft grey colours and brings beauty and texture to bathroom countertops, wall cladding, or domestic bathroom floors.

Portoro Silver Marble, 20mm or 17mm, is a textured marble, also suitable for bathroom countertops, wall cladding and domestic bathroom floors.

WOMAG advises that certain natural stones, like marble, can stain and are therefore not suitable for hard-working kitchen surfaces, but are better suited to bathroom applications. Granite, being harder than marble, is less prone to staining and is an ideal material for kitchen countertops.

Granite is one of the hardest materials known to man. Whether it is used for countertops or tiles, it provides a practical, durable and hygienic surface that is highly resistant to scratches and stains.

Marble has long been prized for its natural beauty. While some marble should be sealed to protect it against wear and staining, the stone can generally be used on walls and floors as well for bars and vanity tops.
