Three different Cobra ranges were recently specified in the construction of more than 350 residential units in five new developments by Rabie Property Development in Century City, Cape Town. Products and accessories from Cobra’s Gala, Taryn and Dura ranges have been specified for these residential developments, all of which are built around Century City’s 16-hectare Intaka Island nature reserve.  Gala basin, shower, bath and kitchen mixers, shower roses and rail sets were specified in the Waterstone East (125 units) and Waterstone West (70 units) developments. Both these waterfront projects comprise apartments and townhouses. The Gala bathroom mixers feature Cobra’s anti-splash, anti-lime aerators and the single-lever kitchen mixers are supplied with five-litre-per-minute restrictors to conserve water.

When the highest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa in Dubai  – was officially opened in January 2010, Hansgrohe  also joined in the celebrations. The German manufacturer of bathroom fittings, showers and shower systems supplied more than 5 000 fittings for the 828-metre tall skyscraper designed by American architect Adrian Smith.  The washbasin mixers from Hansgrohe’s Axor Starck luxury collection were made in the company’s manufacturing plant in Schiltach, Germany.
