The winner of the Corobrik Architectural Student of the Year for 2011 was announced at a function hosted by Corobrik in Johannesburg on 7th March 2012.  This is the 25th year of Corobrik’s sponsorship of this annual competition for final year students of architecture at universities and universities of technology around the country. It is probably the longest running sponsorship of its kind in South Africa. Over the years the competition – and the award – have gathered considerable prestige among students, faculty at the institutions where they study, and the architectural profession as a whole. Many past winners of the award are now working internationally in practices all over the world.
