New writing walls

The vitreous enamelled steel writing walls newly launched by Vitrex are produced using the company's architectural cladding panels to create large writing surfaces. The writing walls – a first for South Africa – can be custom-made by Vitrex  at its Jet Park factory to suit specific room layouts and wall sizes. They offer much bigger writing surfaces than traditional writing boards as well as added benefits.

SA cladding for London Underground station

South African company Jet Park-based Vitrex continues its exports of Vitraclad architectural cladding to the United Kingdom and recently saw the completion of another London Underground contract.  Cristian Cottino, sales and marketing director at Vitrex, says the order for 350m² of vitreous enamelled steel cladding was for installation at the City Thameslink underground station, located between Blackfriars and Farringdon on the Thameslink route. The station is being extended and refurbished as London prepares to host the summer Olympic Games in 2012.

Vitrex cladding exported for Reading Station redevelopment

Vitraclad vitreous enamel steel cladding, produced by Vitrex in South Africa, was specified for another railway station in the UK. The Boksburg-based company has been contracted to supply – in three phases - over 2 000m2 of Vitraclad heavy gauge panels for Network Rail’s large-scaled redevelopment of one of the UK’s busiest stations, Reading Station in Berkshire.
