World Design Capital 2014 and UIA 2014 establish synergies

Versatile vinyl in the “sport-light” at 2016 Olympic Games

During the next few months, the 2016 Olympic Games will once again be on everybody’s lips when the much anticipated event takes place later this year hosted by the colourful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It will be the first time that the Olympic Games will be held on the South American continent. Thousands of athletes from more than 200 countries will be competing for Olympic and Paralympic medals in more than 300 events that will be watched by spectators and fans from around the world.

‘New Paradigms’- KZNIA 2012 Conference, October 26th and 27th October at the Docklands Hotel in Durban.

Kwazulu-Natal Institute for Architecture will hold their 2012 Conference, themed ‘New Paradigms’, at the Docklands Hotel in Durban. Now in its fourth year the KZN Education Conference now includes SAFAL as a title sponsor but still maintains strong ties to the local education institutions, Durban University of Technology and University of Kwazulu-Natal. One of the objectives is to raise questions around generally accepted architectural discourse and a particular highlight will include the launch of Open Architecture, a revolutionary new architectural learning platform which will be demonstrated through the course of the conference.
