Dr. Brian Shackel – obituary

World renowned paving engineer, Australia’s Dr Brian Shackel, lost his battle with cancer on November 18. Known and well liked by many in the precast concrete paving industry, Brian was both friend and mentor to members of the South African Concrete Manufacturers Association (CMA).

CMA celebrates 40 years with the Awards for Excellence 2012

          On November 3rd 2012 the Concrete Manufacturers Association (CMA) celebrated its 40th anniversary as well as the 14th CMA Awards for Excellence. The awards, presented biennially, recognise excellence in the manufacture and application of precast concrete products.
