To dispense with hacking when plastering, tiling or painting onto smooth or friable surfaces. It can be used as an adhesive, a bonding liquid for friable surfaces, as a primer for PVA and acrylic paints, as a cement additive to improve adhesion, mixed with cement as a crack filler and mixed with propriety crack fillers to limit “ghosting” of filled spots when over coating with paint. It can be used in plaster mixes to improve the strength and integrity of the plaster and is invaluable for improving the adhesion of cement-based decorative coatings to difficult surfaces.
a.b.e.® Construction Chemicals‘ range of applied sealants is based on modified bitumens, tars, acrylics, silicones, modified epoxies, polysulphides and polyurethanes, with a.b.e.® currently the leading distributor of PVC, rubber and hydrophilic waterstops. Examples of typical applications are sealing of joints in road surfaces, runways and airport hangars, sealing of construction joints in walls and floors in commercial and industrial buildings. In addition products are used for houses, water reservoirs and sewage processing structures, sealing around general household sanitary ware and certain automotive applications.
TAL Superflex is a ready to use acrylic based liquid waterproofing system which may be applied by brush or paint roller. TAL Superflex was specifically designed to be fully compatible with cement-based tile adhesives. When reinforced with TAL Superflex Membrane, it cures to provide a flexible, waterproof membrane capable of accommodating normal structural movement in the background and is ideal for waterproofing shower recesses, internal wet areas, external balconies and terraces, planter boxes, roof slabs and parapet walls. TAL Superflex possesses excellent flexibility and UV resistance which allows it to be left exposed to weather elements on non-trafficable roof slabs and parapet walls. In instances where TAL Superflex is to be left exposed (parapet walls), a third coat should be applied, once the previous coats are dry. It may also be painted over, using a high-quality exterior grade acrylic paint.
Sikaflex® AT-Façade is a 1-part, moisture curing elastic sealant based on Silane Terminated Polymers. Especially for movement and connection joints on porous and non-porous substrates. Excellent weatherability and highest UV resistance.
A non-yellowing clear, thermoplastic acrylic lacquer-based resin which displays excellent UV stability. Has very fast solvent release, i.e. drying properties. The sealer greatly enhances the colour and protects the surface from the ingress of dirt and grease.
Protecting cement finishes with a good quality Cemcrete sealer is crucial and not only makes the surface easier to clean, it offers other benefits as well, such as enriching the colour intensity of the overlay, blocking the penetration of stains, and improving water repellency and abrasion resistance.
TAL PRO-TAC is a solvent free, modified acrylic based adhesive. It was specifically developed for use with LVTs (Luxury Vinyl Tiles), Carpets and Carpet Tiles where repositionability is important in the early stages of installation.
TAL Profix Plus is a water-based modified high performance aggressive acrylic adhesive specially designed for the installation of vinyl and textile (carpet) floor coverings including floor coverings with exceptionally coarse backings eg. needle punch carpeting, coir carpeting, etc. TAL Profix Plus is formulated with specialised high strength polymers giving high tensile and shear strength as well as dimensional and ageing stability that exceeds the requirements for adhering any type of coarse uneven backed carpeting. It is ideal for the installation of floor coverings that have very high levels of memory. TAL Profix Plus is suitable for laying of needlepunch carpeting and tiles as well as stick-down carpeting and tiles. It is suitable for application onto concrete, tiles, wood, vinyl, and metal access flooring. TAL Profix Plus is not suitable for adhering carpeting that has been coated with a rubber or bitumen based wear-under layment.
a.b.e.® Construction Chemicals‘ range of specialised floor coatings are screeds based on bitumen, dry shake cementitious materials, self levelling cementitious screeds, epoxies and polyurethanes. Typical applications are the protection of concrete floors and screeds against wear from traffic abrasion, as well as a range of chemical and thermal shock requirements. Certain products can also be used to provide decorative floor finishes to car showrooms, hardware stores, supermarkets and other retail outlets.
TAL’s Comprehensive range of tools and materials for the preparation of soft floor coverings.
Self-adhesive Polyurethane shutter sealing foam strip. Used for prevention of grout loss through butt joints in metal and wooden formwork. Water based acrylic adhesive makes Groutseal easy to remove after use.
The RoofSeal Acrylic system embraces a primer/bonding coat, an impregnating RoofSeal coat, a very tough spun bonded polyester membrane, a second impregnating RoofSeal coat and, when all work is dry (minimum 3 days), a final RoofSeal coat. RoofSeal is waterproof, very durable and ultra-violet light resistant.
TAL Profix is a water-based multi-purpose modified acrylic based emulsion adhesive suitable for the installation of vinyl and textile (carpet) floor coverings. TAL Profix is formulated with specialised high strength polymers giving high tensile and shear strength as well as dimensional and ageing stability that exceeds the requirements for adhering any type of coarse uneven backed carpeting. TAL Profix is suitable for installing vinyl and carpet flooring and tiles as well as stick-down carpeting and tiles. It is suitable for application onto concrete, slate, wood, vinyl and metal access flooring. TAL Profix is not suitable for adhering carpeting that has been coated with a rubber or bitumen based wear-under layment.
abe® peel & stick membrane is a universal, self-adhesive waterproofing membrane comprising of a unique ethylene polymer modified bitumen, incorporating an exposed spunbond, non-woven, polypropylene fabric that is alkali resistant to receive cementitious and water based acrylic resin coatings and adhesive systems.
TAL Bitumen Primer is a two-component (2K) polymer-modified primer for surfaces contaminated with old bitumen traditionally encountered in the fixing of vinyl tiles. Once cured, TAL Bitumen Primer offers a surface onto which most cement-based Under and Overlayments can be applied. It is also suitable for application over Contact Adhesive residues.
