A slop hopper is a large sanitary fitting used primarily in hospitals to dispose of human waste and is an integral part of the sanitary fittings required by healthcare facilities.
The Netcare Group takes hygiene in its facilities seriously and now has a new and much more hygienic solution for slop hoppers specified for all its hospitals.
In order to improve hygiene in its hospitals, the newly designed slop hopper incorporates a lid. It was developed in consultation with Mac Brothers under its Mac Care brand and will become a standard specification for all Netcare hospitals.
The new design was developed to provide a more hygienic solution for slop hoppers and is now available as a standard unit under the “Mac Care” brand.
Mac Brothers started to re-engineer all medical sanitary ware products for hospitals and clinics during 2018 and developed new designs in co-operation with healthcare clients such as Netcare.
The re-engineered medical sanitary ware now includes:
- A new sensor operated scrub sink
- New sluice sink with new safety features
- A range of shelving products with safety edges (constructed with a fully automated panel bender). Watch this video to see how it’s done.
Mac Brothers is committed to the ongoing development of safer and more hygienic products for the healthcare industry under the “Mac Care” brand.
