Tiling contracts in new retail developments

Tile-Africa-Contracts-House-of-Coffee-Elgin-MallThe recently completed Elgin Mall in Kempton Park, Gauteng, is an 8 000m² retail development by AJP Group. Tile Africa Contracts Division supplied and fitted 1 700m² of tiles for the mall’s floors, walls and columns. Lugano 300 by 300mm, full body porcelain tiles were selected for the project in light grey, cinnamon and light blue, creating a square pattern on the main floor and passageways. Crystal Black 300 by 300mm polished porcelain tiles were used for the walkways and columns.

In addition to the mall, Tile Africa Contracts supplied and fitted 90% of the line stores with grey and white ceramic tiles, including floor and wall tiles for the 2 700m² Pick n Pay Family Store, floor and wall tiles for House of Coffee, and floor tiles for DIY.

Alex Baladakis, owner of AJP Group says, “We enjoy an excellent relationship with Tile Africa Contracts. They provide us with quality workmanship, good communication and service. Following delivery on the Elgin Mall, we appointed them for the Glen Balad project.”

This 10 000m² retail development by the same group is also in Kempton Park. The Tile Africa Contracts Division has been appointed to supply and fit the mall and a number of line stores. It is currently fitting the Pick ‘n Pay store, among others.
