Traviata Laminate and Hardwood Flooring, a specialised stockist and wholesaler of laminate and solid wood flooring products, has introduced the Allure range of floating resilient flooring.
Hugh Krog, who is responsible for marketing the Allure brand for Traviata, describes the vinyl wood-plank flooring as a revolutionary product that offers greater versatility and easier installation than traditional wood or laminate products.
“Adhesive-free flooring systems are becoming increasingly popular because of environmental issues and because there is a lack of trained installers for conventional flooring systems,” says Krog. “The key features of Allure vinyl wood-plank flooring are that it’s totally waterproof, it requires no glue and no complicated installation techniques, and it can be installed – without an underlay – as a new floor or over any existing cement screed, tile floor, or other substrates with little or no preparation,” he says.
Developed in the USA and proven in a number of European countries, Allure flooring incorporates a patented GripStrip high tensile joining system – a contact surface that makes the flooring easy to install and renders it waterproof.
“The high tensile joining system complements the dimensional stability of the flooring material so that no gapping occurs during installation or use. This makes it the first resilient planked floor that can be installed as a ‘seamless’ floating floor,” says Krog.
A ceramic bead wear layer makes the flooring scratch and chemical resistant and a heavy duty grade is also available for high traffic commercial and industrial applications. The product’s natural properties ensure it is termite proof and fire resistant and, for the green conscious, it is formaldehyde-free.
Allure vinyl wood-plank flooring is available in a variety of textured wood grain finishes with further options to be introduced in future.
