CMA Awards for Excellence 2010: National and Regional Award winners and Special Commendations: Concrete retaining block walls.

A vintage project, the concrete retaining block wall at The Inanda Club, Johannesburg.The following are the  National and regional award winners as well as special commendations in the category of Concrete retaining block walls.

Public Transport Shared Service Centre, Athlone, Cape Town, National and Regional – Coastal Award winner (Retaining walls <3m high), with Terraforce 4x4 Multi-step blocks and Terraforce L18 blocks manufactured by Klapmuts Concrete.

The Inanda Club, Inanda, Johannesburg, National and Regional – Inland Award winner (Vintage) for the retaining wall constructed with Terracebloks TB300 and TB490 manufactured by Infraset.

The ABB building, Edenvale, Johannesburg, Regional – Inland Award (<3m high) for the walls and lining of an attenuation dam on the property, with Infrablok 150 and 425 retaining blocks manufactured by Infraset.

House Rautenberg, Gordons Bay, Western Cape, Regional – Coastal Award (>3m high) for retaining walls constructed with Terraforce L11 smooth face blocks and 4×4 Multi-step blocks manufactured by Klapmuts Concrete.

Fijnbosch Farming in Banhoek near Stellenbosch, Regional – Coastal Award (Vintage) for retaining walls constructed with Terraforce L13 and L11 blocks and 4×4 Multi-step blocks manufactured by Klapmuts Concrete.

A Special Commendation was made for Harlequins Office Park in Groenkloof, Pretoria, for the >3m high vertical concrete block retaining wall constructed with Infrablok retaining blocks from Infraset.
