CMA Awards for Excellence 2010: National and Regional Award winners and Special Commendations: Concrete Block Paving

Concrete block paving at The Curzon in Cape Town.The following  are the  National and regional award winners as well as special commendations in the category of Concrete block paving.

The Curzon in Constantia, Cape Town, National and Regional – Coastal Award winner, (Residential), with PlazaBloks, PlazaQuartet blocks and Lava kerbs and channels manufactured by CEL Paving Products/Cape Brick JV.

Market Square in Hermanus, National and Regional – Coastal Award winner (Roads), with PlazaBloks, PlazaQuartet blocks, Classic Cobble and Lava kerbs and channels manufactured by CEL Paving Products/Cape Brick JV.

Joint National and Regional – Inland Award winners in the Vintage sub-category are: 

The Palazzo Hotel, Montecasino in Johannesburg, with Fan Cobbles and barrier kerbs manufactured by SmartStone, Midrand; and

Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort, with Classipave concrete pavers manufactured by Infraset.

 Waterfall Mature Lifestyle Estate in Johannesburg, Regional – Inland Award (Residential), with various paving blocks manufactured by Infraset.

Nasrec Gateway 4, Nasrec Precinct, Johannesburg, Regional – Inland Award (Commercial & Community), also with various paving blocks manufactured by Infraset.

 

Two Special Commendations were made among the Regional – Coastal awards, for:

Grand Parade, Cape Town (Commercial & Community), with Aquaflow permeable pavers and conventional pavers from Inca Concrete Products; and

Rawdons Country Estate in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands (Residential), with cobbles, flagstones and tiles from SmartStone, KZN.
