Whenever light liquids such as oil and fuel are used, for example at petrol stations, garages and car washes, the groundwater is under hazardous threat.
Light liquid separators should be installed in these cases. Oil and fuel separators as well as coalescence separators hold the soiled wastewater back before it can reach the public sewage network.
The SonicControl automatic measuring device with ultrasonic sensor guarantees precise monitoring and reporting of the oil and sludge layer down to the last centimetre, and also provides a backwater warning.
KESSEL – available in South Africa through Eurodrain – offers advanced and cost-effective solutions for both small companies and private use. Oil and fuel separators with a nominal size of NS 1.5, as well as floor drains with a volatile liquid trap, provide the required protection.
We all know that water is one of our most precious resources and is not available in unlimited quantities. But it’s not always possible to avoid soiling and contamination in numerous applications, such as kitchens or vehicle refuelling.
For this reason, it is important to pre-treat and clean polluted waste water with the aid of appropriate separator systems before discharging it into the public sewer system.
KESSEL offers a wide range of innovative plastic separators for different areas of application and wastewater quantities.
Light liquid separators according to EN858
Oil and coalescence separators are required where light liquids occur. This is usually at:
- Petrol/gas stations
- Car washes
- Vehicle repair garages and
- Similar places
Coalescence separators EasyOil (Class 1)
Coalescence separators work according to the principle of gravity. To increase coalescence performance or improve draining values, there is an additional coalescence filter insert in the tank, unlike oil/fuel separators. This cylindrical shaped filter insert has two functions: a positive influence on the flow in the separator and that the coalescence material filters the whole wastewater.
Professional advantages
- Increased efficiency: The efficiency of the separator is increased by using a coalescence filter. The finest droplets of oil can be separated out owing to the increased separator efficiency.
- Installation: The telescopic upper sections allow easy individual installation depths and adaptation to ground levels.
- Safe: Water-tight up to the top ground surface thanks to variable upper section lip seal.
- Odour tight: Odour tight covers available in classes A/B or D
- Safety: Float switch outlet lock prevents oil/fuel from the separator from overflowing out of the separator and into the sewer.
- Polyethylene: Fracture-proof and durable.
- Transport: Low weight tanks as well as integrated fork lift grips allow for easy separator transport and installation.
- Practical: Automatic measuring devices SonicControl offer cm accurate monitoring and notification of oil/fuel or sludge layers as well as a flood / back up warning.
Oil/fuel separators EasyOil (Class ll)
Oil/fuel separators are used to protect water and sewage systems from soiling through mineral oils. Thanks to the principle of gravity, the almost insoluble mineral components rise to the top of the wastewater on account of their low specific gravity and collect on the surface.
