Outdoor Sensor motion detector The iHF 3D, the first high-frequency motion detector for outdoors, is a technological quantum leap. The use of intelligent high-frequency technology puts an end to inadvertent triggering once and for all. And the neighbour’s cat or other stray animals leave the iHF 3D cold too. Because the high-frequency motion detector confidently distinguishes between people and animals. Added to this is the high-precision, intuitive adjustability of the detection zone.
Anywhere where you want to know how many people are present at a certain location, the HPD2 can provide the appropriate information. Digitalisation and interconnection in building automation is gathering ever more speed. This includes sensory organs that enable the analysis of individual areas. How many employees are in the office? Who is sitting where? Are there any delays in front of the elevators? What is the frequency in the stairways? Is there a queue at the checkout? There are an unlimited number of examples that show how important it will be to know more and more within the building. The right information is not only needed for interaction within the building automation, but also for the organisation and optimisation of processes. The HPD2 can deliver this information – reliably and precisely.
The IR Quattro SLIM infrared presence detector, with an overall depth of just 4 mm, can be installed almost flush with the ceiling where it remains practically invisible to anyone looking up. As the only one of its kind in the world, the retina lens deserves all the more attention. Installed at a height of up to 4 metres and despite being so slim, it provides a true presence detection zone of an astonishing 16 m². Ideal for small offices, store, service and utility rooms, washrooms and WC’s.
True Presence® is the world’s first true presence detector. It reliably detects the presence of a person. No matter what this person is doing: walking, standing, sitting, reading, resting or sleeping. This is real digital knowledge of presence or absence. This is essential information for existing or future building management…
IS 345 sensor used in lighting automation and control. Aisles and long corridors place special demands on sensor performance. The detection area of the sensor must be narrow, but long. Only in this way can the fewest possible sensors cover sections of the greatest possible length. The IS 345 is the specialist for indoor applications of this type. It is specially designed for detection in corridors and has an angle of aperture of 45°. This means that it can watch over an area of up to 20 x 4 metres tangentially. Available either in round or square surface-mounted and concealed version.
Lighting automation: High-bay warehouses often have narrow aisles and high ceilings. Too high for most sensors. The IS 345 MX Highbay infrared motion detector was specially developed for mounting at heights of up to 14 m and for precision detection between narrow aisles. Ideal for large heights in depots, high-bay warehouses, machine shops, check-in areas and departure lounges
A compilation of notable examples of Steinel installations throughout the world
Four sensor technologies used to detect movement and presence for automatic lighting control. PIR or passive infrared technology, HF or high frequency sensors, long-reach and interference-proof ultrasonic sensors, or camera technology enable Steinel to apply the best solution for energy-efficient lighting management in buildings.
Perfection through and through. High-frequency motion detector HF 3600, ideal for stairwells, WC facilities, installation height 2.5 m, 360° angle of coverage, reach 1 – 8 m (radial), detection regardless of temperature, HF-sensor technology also detects movement through glass, wood and stud walls, selectable time and twilight threshold, manual override.
High-frequency technology is the perfect alternative in areas that can pose problems for temperature-based infrared sensors. This makes the HF 3360 the ideal solution if you want to automate lighting in winding basement corridors, stairwells and multi-storey car parks. It detects the smallest of movements reliably and precisely and ensures the perfect automatic lighting control – even in stairwells over two storeys high. The HF 3360 is also ideal for all entrance areas because light is switched ON as soon as the sensor detects the door opening. Available in surface-mounted and concealed installation versions, and naturally compatible with the standard interfaces.
Lighting automation controlled through presence detectors. Offices, class rooms, conference rooms, warehouses, sports halls or particularly high spaces place different demands on the detection zones sensor cover. Using four sensor technologies, the Control PRO System covers the range of application areas in the best possible way. Two infrared and two high-frequency sensors take account of any room situation
