a.b.e.® Construction Chemicals was founded in 1932 but started operations in 1939 in Durban as a supplier of bitumen to municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal. a.b.e.® has over the years grown in both size and diversity to become a major supplier of specialised construction products to the building, civil engineering and building maintenance industries, supplying products directly to customers through its branch network as well as through builders’ merchants and hardware stores.

abe® Rustopak Red Penetrant Sealant is a low VOC penetrating liquid used in conjunction with abe® Rustopak Top Coat. It is a single component, specifically compounded system, bound together with a calcium sulfonated alkyd in an aliphatic hydrocarbon that is applied over surfaces with tightly adherent rust and also hard to reach areas such as crevices which are properly sealed off without the need of dismantling equipment.

abe® Rustopak Top Coat is a low VOC, active rust inhibitive sealant, for use as a single coat direct to metal (DTM) that does not have to be rust free. Tightly adhered rust on structural steel must be without contaminants like oil, grease, salt, etc.

abe® peel & stick membrane is a universal, self-adhesive waterproofing membrane comprising of a unique ethylene polymer modified bitumen, incorporating an exposed spunbond, non-woven, polypropylene fabric that is alkali resistant to receive cementitious and water based acrylic resin coatings and adhesive systems.
