The downloads on this page are for the SPECXpert 2006/7Building Industry Reference Source CD-ROM program. Please take the time to read the download instructions!

Download Instructions:

1)	Before downloading an update, create a download directory on your computer. Give the directory a descriptive name like ‘My Downloads’. If you do not want to create another directory on your computer you could simply use the ‘My Documents’ folder.
2)	To start downloading click on one of the links at the end of this page. When prompted, select ‘Save this program to disk’ and click OK. Now select the ‘My Downloads’ or ‘My Documents’ directory on your computer and save the file.
3)	When the file download completes either click on the ‘Open’ button or close the download window and run the file from the ‘My Downloads’ or ‘My Documents’ directory by double clicking on it.
If you experience any problems downloading these updates please contact Specifile for assistance !

Company Updates

GAP (Geyser Allied Products) - September 15 2006

Geyser Allied Products are the manufacturers of Estia Appliances, with over twenty years experience in appliance manufacture. They now manufacture geysers and guarantee five years on the boiler, and one year on the thermostat and element. All geysers are electrically tested to comply with SABS 151 specifications. The geysers are available in 100 litre, 150 litre and 200 litre models. The boiler is enamelled on the inside with vitreous enamel and are designed to operate at 400 KPA water pressure. A new range available from GAP is their kitchenette units, suitable for government projects such as social and RDP houses, as well as granny flats and cottages. Three variations are available: the Family Kitchenette, consisting of a two-plate hob, a sink, fridge, oven and cupboards; the Batchelor Unit, consisting of a two-plate hob, sink, cupboards and a fridge; and the Economy Unit, consisting of a two-plate hob, sink and cupboards. Gripseal Chemicals - September 15 2006

All Gripseal sealants are water-based, user-friendly, acrylic, stain-resistant, non-flammable and non-corrosive. The range is extensive and includes wood sealant, brick and slasto sealant, quarry and floor tile sealant, Gripflex Sealing and Weatherproofing Compound, wood glue, cement remover, neutralizer to ensure proper adhesion to surfaces, and a general purpose cleaner.

Groundware Solutions - September 15 2006

Flexipave is a modular, textured, non-slip, exposed aggregate paving system that allows specifiers to create multiple profiles, textures and colours from standard brick sizes to large flagstones. Eight standard colours are available but as the products are derived from natural quarried materials, slight colour variations (which only add to the attractiveness of the paving) do occur.

GAP - Geyser Allied Products - November 24 2006

Updated brochures from GAP on their geyser range, as well as their kitchenettes. The water heating range is available in 100-, 150- and 200-litre models. A 75 litre geyser is also available for specific markets. All geysers are electrically tested to comply with SABS 151 specifications. A guarantee of 5 years on the boiler and 1 year on the element and thermostat applies. Three kitchenette models are offered. The Family Kitchenette includes a two plate hob, sink, fridge, oven and cupboards, and is an attractive and neat unit. A Bachelor Unit and an Economy Unit are also available.

Gripseal - November 24 2006

Gripseal is adding a brochure from JME Timberworks - manufacturers of wooden benches and outdoor furniture. Benches are available in sizes ranging from 2 to 12 seaters. All products have rubber stops on the base to prevent moisture from creeping up the legs and to protect the floors. All products are treated with Gripseal co-polymer acrylic wood sealant, available in a wide range of colours.

Glide Aluminium Systems - January 12 2007

Global Insulation Systems - February 2 2007

Provide an asphalt roofing shingle system that includes hip and ridge shingles, ventilation and waterproofing underlay products. All shingles are tested to meet or exceed applicable standards measuring fire coverage and wind resistance. The shingles are colour-fast and algae-resistant, are lightweight and flexible ensuring design freedom and suitability for re-roofing to their attributes, and are available in a variety of muted colours. Golden Nest Décor - February 23 2007

Some interesting additions from Golden Nest. These include a wide selection of massage bath tubs (or spa baths), complete shower units, their Steam House and Shower Mate range of steam showers, and full vanity units that incorporate basins (all sorts of shapes and styles) together with the shelving units.
