Cable ties keep cables safe

Legrand’s Colson cable ties are designed for use where cables may be exposed to harsh or aggressive environmental conditions. Legrand’s extensive range of electrical products and systems for the industrial sector includes control and signalling devices, cable marking systems, terminal blocks, enclosures and industrial sockets, as well as transformers and power supplies.

An important component in Legrand’s industrial product range are Colson cable ties, designed for use in areas where cables may be exposed to aggressive chemicals, moisture, extreme temperatures and ultraviolet rays.

Colson cable ties are flexible and corrosion-resistant and can withstand the effects of oils, greases, petroleum products, chlorinated solvents and saline mists. They have a humidity absorption factor of less than 2% and can endure temperatures from -40 to +85°C. The cable ties are also fire-resistant, with a flame application time according to EN 50146: 10s.

The special tool used to tighten the cable ties ensures a tight and secure installation and, for a neat finish, excess material can be easily cut off.

Accessories include screw-on wall plug bases and DLP trunking bases as well as screw-in wall plugs and bolts for cable trays and sheet metal. The flexibility of Legrand’s products allows for the Colson cable ties to be used irrespective of the type of support in the installation.

Legrand has made a substantial investment in the research and development of this range. The cable ties have been tested for UV-resistance and climatic ageing to ensure that they perform reliably and remain durable in service in the most demanding environments.

Legrand offers electrical solutions to the mining, industrial, commercial, healthcare, hospitality and domestic sectors.
