Tufted tiles from Nexus, the commercial division of Belgotex Floorcoverings, combine comfort and convenience with versatility of design.
Synergy, Cube2, Baseline and Times Square are loop-pile modular flooring systems featuring all the performance advantages of hi-tech yarns and patterned to match the latest trends in interior design.
The patterns are graphic and sophisticated: repetitive lines and geometrics of almost severe simplicity in traditional colours tempered with tones of grey to earthy shades of stone, khaki, dusty blues, sage greens and reds.
Made from Stainproof Miracle Fibre or Stainproof SDX for stain-resistance, durability, soundproofing and insulation, all Nexus tufted tiles have low VOC levels and are manufactured in Belgotex’s ISO14001-certified plant in Pietermaritzburg – assuring designers and specifiers of Belgotex’s ‘Environmental Choice’ in carpeting. All tufted tiles are supplied with NexBac Eco backing, which is a blend of post-industrial waste and the standard NexBac mixture, providing a 35% recycled backing alternative.
With the NexBac Eco backings, individual tiles are interchangeable, the tiles can be laid in various directions to create striking, different patterns, and damaged tiles can be unobtrusively replaced in areas of wear.
There are four distinct laying patterns:
- Monolithic – tiles are laid in the same direction;
- Tessellated – tiles are laid perpendicular to each other at 90° angles;
- Random – tiles are laid in random directions;
- Ashlar – tiles are laid in a ‘bricklay’ format.
Baseline features a light/dark geometric design to create a formal linear block effect suitable for heavy commercial applications. Made from Stainproof SDX – a solution dyed nylon, Baseline is colourfast and UV-resistant so won’t fade or discolour in direct sunlight.
Times Square with its subtle square design is a good choice for heavy commercial applications such as in banks where durability and formality are important considerations. The loop-pile tiles, made from Stainproof SDX, offer excellent soil-hiding properties, acoustics and an overall professional appearance.
Synergy is the newest loop-pile tile featuring a distinctive pinstripe pattern suitable for general or medium commercial installations. Synergy tiles are made from the affordable polypropylene yarn – Stainproof Miracle Fibre. The pinstripe design hides soiling and won’t stain.
For a repetitive ‘circuitboard’ look, the Cube2 range of tufted tiles is ideal in high-traffic areas such as lifts and lobbies. This range is also made from Stainproof Miracle Fibre so it is stainproof and very hardwearing.
