Gauteng distributor for temporary protective coatings

The building sector is one of the fastest growing markets for DewPoint’s Strippable Coatings, now available in Gauteng from Diamond Products.Diamond Products – a specialist in the manufacture, assembly and sale of diamond tools and equipment for construction and other industrial applications – has recently obtained distribution rights in Gauteng for Cape Town-based company DewPoint’s range of Strippable Coatings.

Diamond Products director, Darryl Gray says that the peelable Strippable Coatings provide temporary protection from the elements for various non-porous surfaces and materials, such as glass, plastic and steel. The water-based coatings, supplied in liquid form, can be applied by spray, roller or brush onto the product or surface to be protected. The coating forms a protective film which later can simply be peeled off, once its protective job is done.

DewPoint director, John de Rooy says, “DewPoint was established in Cape Town in 2003 and the company successfully expanded its geographical footprint on a national level within its second year of trade. Today, DewPoint has a network of licensed applicators, appointed agents and outlets countrywide and we are happy to welcome Diamond Products as the newest member to this team.”

De Rooy says that Strippable Coatings typically takes just 15 to 20 minutes to dry – depending on the ambient temperature – and forms a skin-tight no-residue peelable coating which sticks to the surface to prevent damage in storage, transit, manufacturing – and in the building sector, during construction. It eliminates the cost, time and labour otherwise associated with damages and replacements.

Gray adds that as a distributor of Strippable Coatings, Diamond Products also provides customers with comprehensive after-sales and technical support.
