Simple Switch from Radiant Lighting and Electrical is designed to replace the traditional light switch, offering easy and affordable automated lighting control in the home or office. Valerie Poyurs, director of marketing at Radiant, says, “By connecting a Simple Switch receiver to any light circuit you now have the ability, at the touch of a button, to control that circuit from anywhere in your home or office with a wireless handheld remote. The wireless Simple Switch plates can be placed wherever is convenient and the buttons linked to control one or as many lights as required.”
Simple Switch pads are available in two-, four- and six-button versions. Each button on the switch-plate can be linked to as many light circuits as you choose and a simple press will turn the lights on or off; holding the button down allows you to dim the lighting to preferred levels.
The Simple Switch system is easily expandable making multi-way switching very easy. One or a number of Simple Switch receivers can be linked to operate off a single transmitter button. You can place a switch at the top and the bottom of the stairs or at each end of a passageway and these can both control the same light without any additional wiring. Scene Pads are used to set the lighting to preferred levels with one press of a button. Up to five different scenes can be set – to suit your lifestyle at home, for example: ‘Sleep’, ‘Wake’, ‘Entertain’ and ‘Movie’. A Scene Pad next to the bed or the front door can simplify your life, enabling you to set the lights the way you want them, at the press of a button.
The new wireless remote control system is one of Radiant’s latest innovations and allows for automated lighting to be installed in existing homes. “You don’t have to spend a fortune setting up the infrastructure for the system and you can programme the lighting in your home to suit your lifestyle,” says Poyurs.
