PROJECT REVIEW

Twistdraai – Thubelisha Shaft

In August 2011, A&E Furniture was awarded a tender to supply and install change room lockers and benches at Twistdraai, Thubelisha Shaft. The main contractor was Group Five Housing. The change house was designed in such a way that it contained 40 individual pods which accommodated 42 men per pod. The total change house had to accommodate approximately 1900 people. The lockers and benches were to be manufactured strictly in accordance with the customer’s (SASOL) requirements and specifications.

Installation commenced in August 2011 and, although the Health & Safety requirements were very demanding, A&E Furniture spent approximately 1900 man hours without any injuries or incidents to complete the delivery and installation successfully in February 2012.

Other projects
A&E Furniture recently supplied lockers to Evraz, Mdatshane Prison, Zibulo Colliery, Rhodes Foods and Eskom Camden Power Station. They have also been very successful in the supply of beds to the Mozambican Defence Force.
