Brits
Nonwoven
Thermal and acoustic insulation
Isotherm and its insulation derivatives
are manufactured to the highest standards by Atlantis-based Brits
Nonwoven.
The product range consists of
lightweight, compressible but resilient insulation material
manufactured from thermally–bonded polyester. Once correctly
installed, no maintenance is
required. Unlike traditional glass-fibre
materials, the Isotherm range is safe to handle and can be installed
without protective clothing, gloves or masks.
Eco-friendly, Isotherm is manufactured
using polymer from recycled PET bottles and is itself 100% recyclable.
Isotherm - Ceiling
insulation
Isotherm reduces the passage of
solar heat into a structure during summer and saves energy in
winter by reducing heat loss through the roof.
Non-toxic and user-friendly, Isotherm
does not sustain vermin and is resistant to fungi and bacteria. Aside
from its thermal and acoustic insulation properties, it is easy to
handle and rapid to install. It is manufactured in blanket
form thus it can be cut to fit snugly between ceiling beams
and wrap around hot water plumbing.
Isofoil
- Composite insulation
Isofoil is designed for the factory or warehouse where there is no
ceiling, the
agriculture or poultry farming industries. The outer jacket is
made from aluminium foil or polyethylene. Both facilitate
condensation control under metal deck, fibrous cement and tile roofs.
Acoustisorb -
Acoustic insulation
Acoustisorb is ideal for use in walls and partitions needing acoustic
(and thermal) insulation.
Isotherm and Acoustisorb derivatives
A variety of Isotherm and
Acoustisorb derivatives have been developed, including duct lagging,
geyser blankets and flexible combinations of thermal and acoustic
insulation materials.
Flammability
Isotherm is non-flammable, thus fire-retardant chemicals are not
required.
