Stone Wall Facings
Stone wall facings
Wonder Rock's superbly crafted stone wall facings
offer developers, architects and homeowners stimulating scope to create properties with
enduring impact. Breaking free from the prohibitive cost of real stone, Wonder Rock has
faithfully captured the character and craftsmanship of bygone ages using actual mouldings
of a selected range of traditional masonry.
The St John's range reproduces the glamour and style
of the mining magnate era. This versatile range creates a dignified finish on large
buildings. The effect is achieved by using moulds of the masonry of St John's College in
Johannesburg. With irregular sides, the square and rectangular shaped stone can be laid in
straight or random grout lines for a formal or rustic appearance.
The Mountain range is inspired by the African
bushveld. With its irregular shape and random placing, this weathered masonry is superbly
expressive for luxurious game lodge themes or a hilltop sanctuary that is in tune with
nature.
The Pebble Stone range is particularly suited to
feature walls in a range of colours and is evocative of lush tropical islands with a
serene landscape.
The formal St James range, symmetrical stones
imparts a classical look to larger buildings or a charming ambience to smaller projects.
The Cobblefield range of wall facing came from the
French limestone walling that is so characteristic of glorious Provence. Reproduced with the natural simplicity and beauty of the Provencal
style, the Cobblefield range has a lovely texture while its random placement lends itself
to both internal and external wall finishes.
The Monument range is moulded from a 50-year-old
monument that is a tribute to the craftsmanship of the Italian prisoners of war who built
it. The random sized stones are particularly suited to larger scale walling when laid with
straight grout lines. Laid randomly, they give a more mellow effect and lend themselves to
highlighting eaves, pillars and plinths.
Accessories include matching items for the various ranges,
from modular arches with medieval keystones to stone water spouts. Items are available in
a variety of colours to complement the range of wall claddings. |
