Marble mosaic is suitable for walls, floors, ceilings, table and counter tops, splash panels in back of stoves and, of course, in bathrooms, pools or water features.  They are as suitable in exterior as in interior applications.

Marble mosaics are made in the various parts of Mediterranean basin, where they have been made from antiquity, generally where colored marble occurs naturally. 

The material is so durable that there are examples of mosaic that were in use for several hundred years, walked on daily by thousands of people which are still in wonderful condition, perhaps showing the tread of feet but never losing their beautiful natural colors.
