Founded as an aluminium and glass company in 1987,
the company has built a reputation for consistent quality and service excellence. Over the
years the company has specialised in the manufacturing of shower enclosures.
In 1994, Aluview obtained the Lalique agency from its
Canadian parent, giving the company the opportunity to introduce the first frameless
shower enclosure to the South African market.
Aluview is proud that many of its
products are used in some of the most prestigious facilities in southern Africa, East
Africa and the Indian Ocean islands. These include the Virgin Active gymnasiums, as well
as the frameless range of Lalique shower enclosures that adorn some of the most
prestigious hotel bathrooms from the Westcliff and Sheraton, Holiday Inn Garden Court
Hotels and Montecasino in Gauteng, to the luxurious Garden Court Waterfront and Sheraton
Grand Hotel in Cape Town and as far afield as the Saint Geran and more recently the Le
Touessrok Hotel in Mauritius.
The products
Lalique is a frameless shower door concept that can be designed around any particular
need, providing more depth, space, light and an appearance of blending into the bathroom
itself.
This frameless shower door concept is ideal when space is
limited, or for more innovative and creative bathroom designs.
Composed of toughened safety glass, glass clips, hinges and
polycarbonate. All fixed panels are secured with solid brass or chrome clips and
antifungal silicone. The polycarbonates are composed of a highly specialised
plastic/rubber compound for efficient sealing.
Leola is an aluminium-framed shower enclosure that is
beautiful in design and easily blends in with existing architecture or as an integral
interior design element. Leola's versatility makes it ideal for almost any bathroom
situation and is well-suited for gymnasiums and hotels.
The inside edges are bevelled, leaving no area for water
deposit that may lead to fungal growth. It is 100 percent steamproof and uses a special
magnetic seal to ensure maximum protection against leakage. The 6mm safety glass is
resistant to impact.
The Emperor is a unique frameless over-the-bath
sliding door with no width restrictions. Meaning that it can be incorporated into any
bathroom design to include a Leola installation.
The Emperor is ideal for large shower openings. Its sleek, elegant
aluminium header enables the glass panels to glide with absolute ease over a bath or
shower enclosure.
