Problem-free decking
Decking Wood Plastic Composite is a revolutionary decking material that captures the natural beauty of wood with none of the problems associated with wooden decking.
Wood Plastic Composite does not warp, split, rot or weather like wood, and neither is it susceptible to attack by insects.
Wood Plastic Composite requires no maintenance, thereby ensuring that the cost of a composite deck is much less than that of a wooden deck over a period of time. In addition, Decking Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) is guaranteed for twenty-five years.
Two types of boards are available – hollow boards and solid boards. The highly engineered hollow core profile is lightweight and stronger than most solid composites. These boards have a contemporary ribbed design on one side and a smooth woodgrain on the other. When installed using the patented Quick Clip system, the hollow deck board installs fifty percent faster.
The solid profile is thinner and stronger than most solid hard wood boards. These boards have a contemporary ribbed design on both sides.
Accessories available include the Wood Plastic Composite Railing System, the Pearl Collection of PVC railing, fascia boards, cladding and post caps.

Lining for dams and canals
BituNil torch-on membrane is ideal for sealing both earth and concrete dams, flat roof buildings, reservoirs, sewerage dams, earth or concrete canals, and drinking troughs.
BituNil membrane was specially formulated to prevent and protect against the known hazards of structural and aesthetic damage that is induced by water leaks. A major plus of this product is that it is also ideal for repairing such damage.
BituNil waterproofing is a 4mm APP membrane reinforced with non-woven spunbond polyester. It is maintenance-free, UV resistant, easily repairable if damaged and has a life expectancy of twenty-five years.

MiTek Industries South Africa opens Ultra-Span ®Factory
Leading roof truss systems supplier, MiTek Industries South Africa (Pty) Ltd., is opening an Ultra-Span ® factory. Situated next to its existing head offices in Midrand, the new facility is dedicated to the manufacture of light gauge steel truss components under the brand name Ultra-Span ®.
Since its introduction into the local market in 2000, the demand for Ultra-Span ® and its popularity have grown substantially locally and throughout the African continent. Invented by MiTek Incorporated and patented throughout the world, Ultra-Span ® is a light gauge steel truss system that has proven to be the ideal alternative to conventional timber trusses.
Light weight, affordable and easy to manufacture and erect, Ultra-Span ® engineered roof trusses have been used successfully in commercial building projects and have provided an effective solution in low-cost housing roofing and the emerging steel frame industry.
It is against this background of increased demand that MiTek has expanded its production facilities.
The new facility, covering an area of 4000m², is used to manufacture and store stock of Ultra-Span ® and also houses MiTek personnel, who co-ordinate the massive operation. The new factory also has ample space to facilitate the easy dispatch of large volumes of Ultra-Span ®.
Ultra-Span ® is backed by a total solution in-house computer design software package called MiTek 20/20 ®. Like its counterpart in timber, the software is capable of designing and detailing even the most complex roof systems.
With this new facility MiTek re-affirms its belief in Ultra-Span ® and its commitment to offering the best available products to the market.

Decorative concrete paving solutions
Transforming an ordinary area into an unusual and stunning feature is now easily achieved using the FlexiCrete paving system.
This attractive and versatile paving solution, where panels are layed instead of individual blocks, is easy to install and very cost-effective.
The cement blocks are linked together with an integrated matrix wiring systems, which provides flexibility and strength. Individual blocks can easily be cut from the panel using cutting pliers.
A variety of different patterns and configurations are available, and the system can also be used with other paving products.
Difficult and problem areas are easier to pave as the paving panels are easy to handle and flexible, allowing them to follow contours and retain features in any shape or angle. FlexiCrete is ideal for retaining walls and slopes where erosion occurs.
The system is suitable for pool areas, walkways and paths, driveways, parking areas and patios. It is supplied in plain concrete, charcoal, red, terracotta and sand colours.
FlexiCrete products are made to the highest quality specifications with a compressive strength of 32MPa as tested by MATRO LAB.

Grey water recycling
Calcamite’s CARE policy – Conserve, Add and REuse – means that they believe in recycling water wherever possible.
The Grey Water Recycling System allows you to reuse your bath, basin, shower and laundry water in the garden. The system has been designed to remove all foreign particles from the water, while the pump and rose sprinkler automatically irrigates the garden.
Other products available from Calcamite include liquid waste interceptors, domestic grease traps, water tanks, manholes, conservancy tanks, underground storage tanks, and PETs – primary effective toilets.
Calcamite EVAPO transpiration tiles obviate the need for costly deep holes and French drains. The evaporation beds are designed to encourage water dispersion to the atmosphere via evaporation, capillary action and vegetation.
The Evapo transpiration system is quick and easy to transport and install.

Customised classroom dividers
Continental Enamelling now supply customised classroom dividers, suitable for all schools, learning centres, clinics and community buildings.
These dividers are suitable in situations where a hall is not available or where space needs to be used efficiently in order to meet specific needs and requirements.
The product is generally used to partition a room or building 6 to 8 metres wide, with a floor to ceiling height of approximately 3 metres. It normally comprises four hinged segments, mounted on column posts that are fixed into brick or concrete side walls. The weight of each segment is carried by suitable spring-loaded castors.
Epoxy powder coated, tubular steel frames and columns, provide a strong durable frame into which three horizontally mounted panels are fitted. The centre panels are normally fitted with vitreous enamelled chalkboard or whiteboard surfaces or pinning boards or, alternatively, a combination of the three types of surfaces.
The top and bottom panels are fitted with double sided low pressure melamine finishes, selected from a large, commercially available, standard range.
An aluminium angle with rubber seal is affixed to the ceiling along the division line, to provide an acoustic barrier, while a rubber skirt is fixed to the underside of each segment, at floor level, for the same purpose.
