A renewable resource

Bamboo flooring is a material that enhances the beauty and comfort of any floor. It is the modern alternative to traditional hardwood floors.

Each plank of bamboo solid flooring is made up of multiple individual pieces of bamboo pressed together to form the plank so that the direction and density of the grain is varied. Bamboo is an environmentally friendly renewable resource. It is harvested with minimal impact on its natural environment and returns to maturity in just five years. This makes bamboo an ecologically responsible flooring alternative.

Bamboo is pre-finished flooring that requires no sanding or varnishing upon installation. It is protected by multiple layers of UV-resistant aluminium oxide and polyurethane coatings. The matt-finish coatings preserve the grain and colour of the flooring from scratches, discolouration and wear for years. Additionally, bamboo is thirty percent harder than oak flooring, making it highly resistant to marks, gouges and impressions. Like any other hardwood flooring, bamboo can be refinished.

Bamboo flooring is considered a hardwood in terms of its abrasion resistance, indentation resistance and toleration of moisture condition variations.

These features make it very suitable for application to all internal floor areas in domestic homes, including kitchens and bathrooms. Furthermore, it is also suitable for application in commercial areas such as light to medium duty retail areas, hospitality and restaurant applications, as well as office and commercial buildings.

Shingle roof tiles

Pavini Tiles, a leading manufacturer of rustic cementiferous floor tiles and stucco wall plaster, has now ventured into the manufacture of rustic roof tiles.

Using a combination of technical and materials expertise, together with modern patented techniques, Pavini Tiles has produced a roof tile system that is extremely attractive to designers and builders who want something new, economical, practical and attractive.

This new roof tile system offers a product that is unique to the bulk of roof tile systems available on the South African market, both in appearance and price.

Pavini Roof Tile™ - marketed as ‘Shingle Roof Tiles’ – is dependent on a specialised water barrier system, specifically patented by Pavini Tiles. This Pavini Roof Tile Seal ® is placed between each roof tile and hooked over the battens. It provides an effective barrier against wind-driven rain and capillary action, and allows for the channelling of water to fall to gutters, flashings and linings. A Pavini Roof-Seal ® is supplied with each roof tile.

Strength and water requirements have met with the SABS qualifications and standards.

Complete decorative surfacing solutions

Very few areas have the ability to enhance or impair the atmosphere of a room quite like the surface finishes, whether it be in a home, office, recreational area, or even a public toilet – the quality, texture and colours of the surface finishes are paramount in creating the right atmosphere.

Multisurf prides itself on providing a wide range of decorative surface products that are beautiful to look at, durable and represent value for money.

Their range of Acrylic and Polyester Solid Surface products are perfect for areas that require a highly durable and maintenance free surface.

The Acrystone ® range consists of twenty six acrylic colours uniquely suited to a variety of applications such as kitchen and reception countertops, bathrooms and vanities, shower surrounds, wall cladding, shopfronts and furniture.

Because Acrystone ® is thermoformable, the design possibilities are endless.

Acrystone ® acrylics solid surfacing is both renewable and repairable – a simple buffing with a Scotch Brite Pad is normally all that is required to remove most minor scratches.

Using the colour matched range of Seamless™ solid surface adhesives, no joints are visible.

Easy to clean and impervious to moisture, Acrystone ® will provide years of hygiene and low maintenance use.

Introducing … daylight

TSRW Domelights provide an aesthetic and practical solution for the introduction of natural light into flat roofed applications.

A full range of sizes are available and the domes are available in various colours, although the standard base colour is white with a bronze tinted dome. The attractive and durable aluminium-framed upstands are pre-treated and powder coated to withstand the harsh South African conditions.

A built-in condensation outlet is incorporated and long-lasting UV resistant seals are also part of the unit.

The TSRW Domelight fits directly onto the roof deck. The domes are designed to fit flush with the roof surface. Flashing is then applied over and around the aluminium dome base, creating an integral seal with the roof surface and ensuring that the product is waterproof.

A network of recommended installers is in place in various centres. A helpline is also available to provide advice to roofing contractors and other installers.
